Responsibilities

Manage overall production facility (including Service Shops) to reach targets in quality, cost, delivery, and safety
Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards
Own/influence budgets and operating plans
Team management of salaried employees (typically 2nd line manager with senior professional direct reports; manage medium to large teams)
Attract and retain talent
Develop expertise in own function and provide professional or thought leadership
Influence policy and ensure delivery within area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization
Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services
Utilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision making
Lead others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles
Employ sophisticated operational/product management, manufacturing, or engineering techniques
Interact with adjacent functions to solve issues and evaluate quality of information received
