Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certification (if not currently certified, provide anticipated date of certification)
  • Current license to practice in California
  • Current DEA Certificate
  • CPR card
  • Preference for Family Medicine background (Internal Medicine candidates also welcome)

Responsibilities

  • Provide highest standard of outpatient medical care, including examination, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation
  • Take responsibility for all activities, including accurate charting, good documentation of history, physical findings, assessment, and treatment plans
  • Keep track of all seriously ill patients seen
  • Manage cases for patients with chronic conditions
  • Consult Medical Director on problems in diagnosis or management of patients
  • Participate in all staff meetings and provide input for continuous improvement of the clinic
  • Implement knowledge of community-based, patient-centered medical home (PCMH) process with appropriate coordination of care
  • Help facilitate audits for meeting State and Federal regulations
  • Serve as preceptor for medical students, nurse practitioner students, and physician assistant students as requested
