Requirements
- Lead and develop a pharmacy team providing exceptional patient care
- Promote best practices and lead through change
- Identify and address performance opportunities
- Support novel program awareness and onboard new pharmacy team members
- Recognize colleagues for success
- Exhibit best practices when working the bench, including team coordination, patient counseling, and compliance with legal/regulatory guidelines
- Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Partner with Store Manager to maintain a talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues
- Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable)
- Conduct new Technician and Pharmacist onboarding, including CVS workflow training
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
- Oversee pharmacy team during bench shifts, providing coaching and follow-up
- Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails
- Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy, care, collaboration with healthcare teams, and resolving issues
- Proactively offer and deliver immunizations, supporting Pharmacy Technicians in immunization training
- Manage pharmacy inventory, focusing on best practices and cold chain protection
- Ensure timely completion of required training and licensure for trainees
- Escalate compliance issues to Rx District Leader as needed
- Manage performance through observation, feedback, validation, annual reviews, and gap closure
