Requirements

3rd year Pharmacy Intern (enrolled in pharmacy school)
Ability to apply didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice
Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), activities, and time with district leaders
Adherence to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices
Effective communication and demonstration of empathy, genuine care, and compassionate service
Ability to operate under the direct supervision and direction of a licensed pharmacist or preceptor
Compliance with state regulations (e.g., for taking telephonic prescriptions or clarifying with prescribers)

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service exceeding patient expectations
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off)
Contribute to positive patient experiences by creating personalized moments, offering immunizations/services, and solving/escalating patient problems with empathy
Offer counseling, field medical questions, and solicit patient medical history under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and call to clarify prescriptions or facilitate changes, where allowed by state regulation
Provide in-the-moment coaching, training, mentoring to pharmacy team members, and share best practices
Complete basic inventory activities (e.g., putting away deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stock, waiting bin inventories), as permitted by law and directed by leadership
Demonstrate self-awareness and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture where all feel valued and empowered
Gain hands-on experience in store, district, and regional operations to prepare for Pharmacist role
