Requirements

  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
  • 0-3 years relevant work experience
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
  • Finger dexterity: picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
  • Ability to reach overhead; stretch or reach out with body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
  • Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
  • Precision control: able to adjust machines to exact positions
  • Ability to stoop to a considerable degree, requiring full use of lower extremities and back muscles, including bending spine at waist
  • Visual acuity: close visual acuity for transcribing, viewing computer terminal, reading, visual inspection of small parts
  • Ability to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently, negligible force constantly
  • Ability to complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
  • Ability to complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Work under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure safe and effective retail pharmacy environment
  • Focus on patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management (excluding final prescription verification)
  • Keep customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs
  • Lead with heart: display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues
  • Seek new ways to grow, collaborate with others, and deliver better outcomes
  • Align others around the purpose to bring heart to every moment of health and gain support and commitment
  • Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride
  • Once state regulations are met, strive to provide patient immunizations
