Requirements

Adheres to USV/FMCNA Compliance Program, regulatory requirements, and state/federal regulations
Works under direct supervision of Facility Manager or Chief Radiology Technologist
Maintains sterile technique during procedures
Complies with HIPAA policies for patient confidentiality
Ability to perform physical demands including patient positioning, transfers, transport, and handling equipment
Knowledge of medication preparation, administration within scope of practice, and labeling policies
Capable of scrubbing and circulating duties during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy

Responsibilities

Assists with maintenance and setup of procedure room per policies and regulations
Stocks procedure room, trays, and stock room with supplies and equipment
Cleans procedure room, equipment, and machinery post-procedure
Prepares patient for procedures (positioning, shaving, prepping)
Performs scrub and circulating duties, assisting physician during interventional procedures
Draws up and labels intravenous medications per policy
Prepares and administers medications within scope of practice
Handles patient transfers, positioning, and transport to/from procedure room
Ensures environmental integrity, cleanliness, safety, and equipment functionality through daily inspections
Performs minor equipment repairs, upkeep, and documents issues
Assists with hazardous waste disposal, dirty linen, instrument sterilization, and packaging
Manages supplies efficiently to prevent wastage, including inventory, ordering, and re-stocking
Supports quality standards through CQI, regulatory compliance, and action plans
Maintains medical and operational records, complies with data collection and auditing
Provides clerical support: works with physicians/staff on instruments/equipment, prints/sends images, files paperwork, processes x-rays, archives images
Assists with training/orienting new employees
Participates in regulatory/accreditation surveys and action plans
Performs additional tasks as designated by physician or supervisor
