Requirements

  • Understand, train, and develop employees on all PC&L duties
  • Safely operate all equipment and maintain certifications within the PC&L fleet, including Powered Industrial Equipment (Tugger, Sit Down, Pacer, Reach, Swing Reach, Electric Jacks) and BW company vehicle
  • Read and understand work instructions and/or follow instructions to execute material flow requirements
  • Manually load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves on foot and by hand
  • Accurately and timely enter materials transactional information into SAP and other systems
  • Read electronic and manual bill of materials, pull sheets, pick sheets to retrieve and deliver materials
  • Adherence to FIFO standards throughout all storage areas and material flow points
  • Meet physical requirements for manual handling

Responsibilities

  • Set the tone for the department by demonstrating BorgWarner core beliefs
  • Create, analyze, and deliver reports impacting KPIs to all levels of the organization for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate and share ideas from continuous improvement efforts within the department and facility
  • Facilitate and lead team to implement and complete continuous improvement projects
  • Facilitate communication between team, support groups, and management
  • Mediate conflicts between employees and departments, escalating to management if necessary
  • Communicate PC&L objectives reflecting key performance and be accountable for department performance
  • Delegate daily duties to team members and support operator activities
  • Actively participate in leadership development activities
  • Evaluate employee performance during and after orientation and request additional training if needed
  • Complete Team Leader standard work (e.g., reporting downtime, safety incidents, quality)
  • Compile, store, and retrieve PC&L data as necessary
  • Coordinate activities to ensure internal and external customers’ needs are met
  • Support change management initiatives
  • Complete and submit Monthly Safety training
  • Complete initial investigation and documentation for all safety incidents
  • Perform SAP entries and transactions as needed
  • Use appropriate hold tags to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure
  • Drive self-development to learn multiple positions for department flexibility
  • Provide support on inventory management by performing root cause analysis for inventory variations
  • Assist in training and educating employees within the department
  • Ensure safety measures are followed during material movement
  • Safely perform all tasks assigned, including all positions within the PC&L department
  • Load/unload materials into trailers adhering to Dock Safety Protocol
  • Meet PC&L key performance metrics and adhere to BorgWarner beliefs
