Role Summary

The Payroll Operations Team is responsible for the end-to-end business service delivery of payroll within Deel’s Global Payroll and Employer of Record businesses. This includes providing clients with local payroll expertise and managing accurate, timely payroll processing.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and select relevant software for payroll processing, aligning with Deel product technology requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of payroll in the assigned region and other trained countries.
  • Prepare and reconcile internal payroll reports, ensuring compliance with local tax authorities.
  • Own all critical local payroll and HR processes, including setting up involuntary deductions and supporting employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Schedule payroll expense collections and reconcile them against expenses.
  • Assess and improve processes and procedures to support rapid growth while ensuring compliance.
  • Stay informed of relevant local regulatory and policy changes, communicating key updates across teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide expertise on local payroll and HR matters in the assigned region.
  • Respond to complex payroll and HR-related questions from employees and clients in the region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 4+ years of payroll and HR experience, with specific experience in the relevant country.
  • Strong working knowledge of local regulations and policies related to payroll and HR.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines accurately and timely.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and stakeholder alignment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to explain complex issues clearly.
  • Advanced knowledge of local payroll software solutions.
  • Intermediate understanding of payroll and HR operations.
