Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of payroll experience specifically within Japan.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local regulations and policies pertinent to payroll and Human Resources Administration (HRA).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively while adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Strong command of the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Specialists to grasp country-specific payroll compliance mandates and translate these into detailed technical specifications for the development of the country’s payroll engine.
  • Educate the Product team on relevant legislation and ensure the accurate implementation of technical specifications by the Development team through rigorous testing.
  • Develop and maintain legislative specifications for reports and integrations, ensuring that new in-country requirements are incorporated into the product for ongoing compliance.
  • Facilitate continuous upskilling and compliance awareness within the Product team by actively contributing to the understanding of new in-country requirements.
