Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a large corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems and timekeeping tools (e.g., Kronos, Workday)
  • Knowledge of U.S. payroll laws and regulations (FLSA, IRS, state tax rules)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC certification
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and union/non-union environments
  • Familiarity with payroll reporting and analytics tools

Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll for U.S. and P.R. employees using payroll systems (e.g., Workday)
  • Review payroll records, payroll inputs, and deductions to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay and deductions in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with HR, Benefits, Timekeeping and Data Integrity teams to ensure payroll alignment
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and reports
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency
  • Stay informed of changes in federal, state, and local payroll regulations
