Requirements

Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of employment. They must have a minimum of one year of experience as a retail pharmacist, with demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy operations and patient care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also required.

Responsibilities

The Part-Time District Support Pharmacist will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps within the district, under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader, ensuring adequate pharmacy coverage. They will oversee pharmacy operations, serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts, support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures, and assume day-to-day pharmacy duties. Additionally, they will contribute to positive patient experiences by providing empathetic care, collaborating with the patient’s healthcare team, and proactively addressing insurance and medication issues, as well as offering and delivering immunizations and supporting pharmacy inventory management.
