A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with an ABA-approved paralegal certification, is preferred. Demonstrated experience supporting litigation, disputes, and compliance processes is essential, along with strong knowledge of document retention policies, litigation holds, and discovery procedures. Proficiency in managing shared drives, document repositories, legal billing systems, and outside counsel engagements is required. Familiarity with corporate governance and compliance best practices, along with strong organizational, project management, and communication skills, is necessary. The ideal candidate is a self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced environment, capable of proactively identifying and implementing operational solutions.
The Paralegal and Legal Operations Manager will assist with the implementation and enhancement of legal and compliance policies, including data retention, privacy, security, and legal billing. They will identify legal operations needs and solutions, including scalable tech tools, and manage legal bills and outside counsel spending. Responsibilities include assisting with research and investigations, gathering information, and preparing draft reports. The role involves representing the Legal department in cross-functional meetings, managing institutional knowledge, and identifying, reporting on, and driving accountability for Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Additionally, they will prepare department reports for leadership, manage legal and compliance training programs, and support the administration of the company's stock plan, along with other paralegal and litigation support tasks as needed.
