Position Overview
Fleetio is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Corporate Paralegal to join our Legal team. This role is crucial for ensuring the flawless execution and delivery of services by the Legal Department. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, you will be the third hire in the legal department and will play a key role in supporting a broad range of legal and administrative matters, with a significant focus on contract drafting, review, and amendment.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to Fleetio’s Associate General Counsel and Senior Corporate Paralegal.
- Assist with a wide variety of legal and administrative tasks, with a strong emphasis on sales and procurement contracts.
- Review, draft, populate, and redline agreements including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), non-disclosure agreements, statements of work, and various customer/vendor agreements.
- Collaborate effectively with internal business teams, responding to requests regarding agreements, legal processes, and other documentation.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure adherence to all contractual obligations.
- Prepare general correspondence for contracts, sales, and corporate departments.
- Monitor and maintain various legal documents, including customer and vendor agreements, and compliance policies.
- Serve as a point of contact for departmental tracking of contracts and updates.
- Assist with the preparation, filing, and maintenance of corporate records.
- Support the maintenance of contract platform databases.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a corporate paralegal or corporate legal assistant.
- Preferred: Experience working in an in-house legal department at a software company.
- Bachelor's or associate degree preferred. A paralegal certificate is a plus but not required if you possess equivalent experience.
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, Adobe Pro, and electronic signature software (e.g., DocuSign).
- Preferred: Experience with contract management software (e.g., IronClad, Productiv), workplace content management systems (e.g., Asana), and Salesforce.
- Comfortable adapting to upgrades, technology improvements, and process changes.
- Confident in operating autonomously and knowing when to escalate issues.
