Requirements

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience and at least 6 months of warehouse reach forklift experience, including pallet jack and forklift certification. Preferred qualifications include Sysco experience or experience in a high-volume distribution environment, and a working knowledge of inventory control techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

The associate will retrieve product that is not available during the selection process and accurately place products on shorted selection pallets or trailers, documenting inventory control issues such as replenishment forces and slotting recommendations. They will also perform safety and administrative functions, including attending safety meetings, conducting pre-shift stretches and inspections, donning and doffing PPE, and maintaining a clean work area. Furthermore, the role requires operating reach forklifts, pallet jacks, and tuggers, as well as managing the pressure and stress associated with a deadline-oriented atmosphere, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
