Requirements

  • Ability to perform mechanical assembly functions, including kitting, assembling, bonding, coating, and processing devices using microscopes and tools, with visual inspection and repairs
  • Ability to set up and utilize special test equipment
  • Ability to perform packaging functions, including kitting, assembling, and packaging devices and accessories, with problem correction using microscopes and tools, and reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Perform electronic assembly functions: assemble, weld, solder, and x-ray medical devices and parts using microscopes and tools; locate and correct problems via x-rays and visual inspection; repair and test units using computerized test equipment
  • Perform casting/coating functions: examine devices post-molding for bubbles, nicks, or excess epoxy; use small tools to access and remove defects; patch and repair using syringes and tools; bake parts to cure epoxy
  • Perform mechanical assembly functions: kit, assemble, bond, coat, and process medical devices and parts using microscopes and tools; locate and correct problems through examination and visual inspection; repair devices using microscopes and tools
  • Set up/utilize special test equipment as needed
  • Perform packaging functions: kit, assemble, and package devices and accessories using tools; locate and correct problems using microscope and tools; review device documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Notify supervisor of the need to replenish supplies/materials and of any production difficulties that cannot be readily corrected
  • Perform other related duties as directed or assigned
