Requirements

Ability to perform electronic assembly functions, including assembling, welding, soldering, and x-raying medical devices using microscopes and tools
Skill in locating and correcting problems through x-ray examination and visual inspection
Capability to repair and test units using computerized test equipment
Proficiency in casting/coating functions, such as examining devices for defects post-molding, using tools like drills, reamers, taps, knives, syringes to repair bubbles/voids, and baking parts to cure epoxy
Competence in mechanical assembly, including kitting, assembling, bonding, coating, and processing devices using microscopes and tools, with visual inspection and repairs
Ability to set up and utilize special test equipment
Experience with packaging functions, including kitting, assembling, and packaging devices/accessories, correcting problems with microscopes/tools, and reviewing documentation for completeness/accuracy
Capacity to notify supervisor of supply needs or uncorrectable production issues

Responsibilities

Perform electronic assembly: assemble, weld, solder, and x-ray medical devices and parts using microscopes and tools; inspect x-rays visually and correct problems; repair and test units with computerized equipment
Perform casting/coating: examine devices post-molding for bubbles, nicks, excess epoxy; use tools to access and remove defects; patch/repair voids with syringes/tools; bake parts to cure epoxy
Perform mechanical assembly: kit, assemble, bond, coat, and process devices/parts using microscopes/tools; inspect and correct problems visually; repair devices/components with microscopes/tools
Set up and utilize special test equipment as needed
Perform packaging: kit, assemble, and package devices/accessories using tools; correct problems with microscope/tools; review device documentation for completeness and accuracy
Notify supervisor of needs to replenish supplies/materials and of production difficulties that cannot be readily corrected
Perform other related duties as directed
