Responsibilities

  • Leading employees in a manufacturing environment, including accountability for the achievement of all safety, quality, customer service, productivity, throughput, cost and continuous improvement objectives through both individual and team contributions
  • Providing clear direction, leadership, and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, coaching, and on-the-job assignments
  • Directing employees and plant floor activities to achieve a consistent and high-quality product
  • Ensuring that behaviors, practices and the work environment support a safe workplace by enforcing safety and sanitation rules and principles
  • Ensuring compliance with all Federal, State and Company regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining positive employee relations, including participating in evaluation and training of hourly personnel
  • Tracking employees’ work performance and attendance to ensure performance metrics are met, including resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Utilizing metrics/data to evaluate and improve work processes, as well as maintain line related system and regulatory documentation
  • Collaborating with other supervisors and cross-functional teams to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
  • Planning and establishing work schedules
