Requirements

Experience managing operations in a multi-shift environment with 400+ full-time associates
Ability to oversee end-to-end product movement and production within a plant
Skills in directly leading and managing production teams
Capability to partner across departments (e.g., warehouse, maintenance, FSQA, HR, procurement) to convert raw products into meal kits efficiently and with high quality
Experience developing and implementing operational strategies and policies to achieve organizational goals
Willingness to work flexible shifts to devote equal attention to all shifts
Professional and technical knowledge maintained through workshops, publications, networks, benchmarking, and professional societies

Responsibilities

Builds strong working relationships with Superintendents, Shift Managers, Supervisors, and employees to help all levels grow and improve
Sets clear performance targets for Superintendents and discusses progress daily
Ensures Shift Superintendents effectively utilize standard tools
Creates a coaching culture by providing positive and developmental feedback to Superintendents, Shift Managers, Supervisors, and Employees
Assists all organizational levels with problem-solving issues impacting fulfillment
Develops effective people management skills for Superintendents, Shift Managers, Supervisors, and Leads
Fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement; empowers and trains staff to identify improvement opportunities
Resolves personnel problems by investigating issues, identifying solutions, recommending action, and treating employees with respect
Leads by example, embodying Home Chef values (Customer First, Best-in-Class Team, Ownership, Pursue Excellence, Deliver Happiness)
Cultivates a culture of positive motivation and mutual respect
Drives strong communication across shifts and departments via effective huddles and daily communications
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards
Develops and maintains strong working relationships with Asst Plant Manager, Home Chef leadership, other departments, and production team
Analyzes existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement
Implements strategies to enhance efficiency
