Requirements

Experience as a Design Manager
Knowledge of engineering and model-based systems engineering
Experience with large, complex, and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
Ability to coach and mentor a team of engineers
Strong communication and coordination skills

Responsibilities

Coordinating with clients and suppliers
Coaching and acting as a point of contact for a team of lead engineers, engineers, and modelers (10-40 people)
Organizing, coordinating, and writing design documents and overseeing requirement verifications
Designing the projects and the entire engineering according to the requirements and wishes of clients
Playing a key role in the process and conducting technical and organizational meetings both internally and externally
Making conscious (design) choices
Structuring and coordinating design processes and design components
Ensuring that calculations and drawings are properly set up within your team and monitoring the coherence between the various sub-installations
Managing the interfaces between the different sub-installations and with other disciplines within the project, such as civil construction, road and water engineering, or cables and pipelines
Setting up, steering, and monitoring your part of the Agile workflow
