Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D
  • College diploma or University degree in a computer related field
  • 4-5 years of IT technical support experience (more is an asset)
  • Experience with recent Windows operating systems (Windows 10, 11 preferably in an enterprise environment)
  • Experience with Office 365 products in an enterprise environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
  • Experience solving computer-related technical problems both hardware and software (e.g., Office 365, SAP)
  • Experience following company escalation policies
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with team members and clients
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong organization skills to balance and prioritize work and maintain a clean working environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good initiative and proactivity
  • Experience with Service Now ticketing system
  • Networking experience and ability to troubleshoot basic to complex network problems
  • Experience with mobile devices such as tablets and phones (Android and iOS)
  • Knowledge of MDM functionality and mobile device security (e.g., Samsung Knox)
  • Experience with Cisco Call Manager
  • Experience with Lenovo/Dell hardware (an asset)
  • CompTIA A+ Certification (current or previous considered an asset)
  • CompTIA Network+ or CCNA (considered an asset)
  • Availability for onsite work in Toronto, Ontario
  • Availability for 24x7 on-call requirement
  • Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for high-level executive managers and their executive assistants to resolve complex problems concerning system function with their devices
  • Assess diagnostic information and determine alternative courses of action
  • Recommend and implement process changes
  • Monitor Executive Director and Board meetings: perform pre-room checks to ensure hardware functions, set up accordingly, and be present in the room if needed for hardware issues/concerns
  • Monitor external events for executive directors (e.g., hotel events a few times a year): attend, set up, and monitor for issues
  • Handle meetings with Video Conference: connect to VC, solve minor incidents, and work with VC team support
  • Handle meetings with Webex or Webcast: test face tracking (if any) to ensure customer device operates correctly onsite
  • Set up and configure smartphones and tablets or replacements, including data transfer, configuration of new devices, email setup, and Wi-Fi connectivity
  • Prepare, configure, and replace all hardware devices such as laptops, desktops, cell phones, tablets, etc
