Requirements
Candidates must possess a Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Occupational Health and be registered on Part 3 of the NMC Register, along with evidence of ongoing professional development. Experience with Hand Arm Vibration (HAVS) is preferred, and experience collecting samples for testing is also desired.
Responsibilities
As an Occupational Health Advisor, the role involves delivering a full range of Occupational Health duties including case management, mandatory and regulatory medicals, health surveillance, and health and wellbeing services, working collaboratively with customers at medical centers or customer sites, or remotely. This includes conducting health assessments, providing advice to managers and HR regarding sickness absence and workplace health matters, undertaking risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and best practices. The OHA will also participate in network learning opportunities, contribute to dashboard work, and deliver updates on clinical innovations.
