Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, Industrial, or other Engineering fields, with 3-5 years of experience in developing or running forecasting capabilities, preferably with consulting experience. A strong understanding of business, technology, and process implications related to supply chain planning is required, along with excellent problem-solving skills, quantitative/qualitative process analysis techniques, process metrics, and performance measurement expertise. Effective oral and written communication, leadership, project management, and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to interact effectively with different management levels. Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP preferred, Azure or AWS acceptable) and planning business solutions (o9) is a must. Advanced algorithm modeling skills in Python are also required.

Responsibilities

The o9 Data Scientist will work independently and as part of project teams to design, develop, and implement applied intelligence capabilities for clients. They will lead assessments to understand client pain points in supply chain planning and identify improvements through AI capabilities. Responsibilities include managing client communication, interacting with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering expertise for advanced forecasting algorithms and continuous improvement. This role involves exploratory data analysis, data quality assessment, setting up algorithms using Accenture assets or leading innovation, and running proof of concepts for advanced analytics applications. The Data Scientist will also lead implementation and follow services for clients on forecasting, define analytics operating models, and act as a Subject Matter Expert for client proposals and project objectives. Leveraging best practices to create client-specific business solutions for Demand Planning analytics is also a key responsibility. Travel up to 100% may be required.
