This role is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the overall profitability of the regional operations center. The position involves reaching and exceeding financial and referral goals, managing staffing efficiencies, and improving staff performance. The Operations Manager will also be responsible for presenting regular reports to management and fostering a positive working environment that promotes client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving Revenue Growth:
    • Delivering excellent customer service.
    • Meeting scheduling best practices and turnaround time requirements.
    • Ensuring timely delivery of high-quality reports.
    • Managing client inquiries promptly.
    • Optimizing physician costs and ensuring invoices adhere to fee schedules.
    • Overseeing the proper selection of physicians based on location, specialty, and cost.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with key physicians.
  • Managing Staff Performance and Capacity:
    • Monitoring key performance metrics for Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and Quality Assurance (QA) Specialists.
    • Ensuring the team meets or exceeds 85% of output goals for scheduling and QA targets.
    • Hiring new staff members as needed.
    • Conducting timely and constructive performance evaluations.
    • Handling employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policy.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Potentially joining Sales staff for client visits.
  • Operations Oversight:
    • Ensuring the overall production, performance, and quality of the assigned region.
    • Planning and organizing daily activities related to production and operations.
    • Measuring productivity through data analysis.
    • Coordinating with support departments (HR, Finance, IT, BA).
    • Determining labor needs to meet production goals.
    • Overseeing the deposition process as requested.
    • Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education/Credentials:
    • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Job Relevant Experience:
    • Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting preferred.
    • Business experience in a Worker’s Compensation and/or Auto insurance setting preferred.
    • NY IME experience preferred.
  • Job-Related Skills/Competencies:
    • Exceptional communication skills with a clear understanding of company business lines.
    • Ability to apply critical thinking, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
    • Computer literacy and typing skills are essential.
  • Work From Home Technical Requirements:
    • Must supply and support own internet services.
    • Maintaining an uninterrupted internet connection is required.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • May involve lifting, bending, and traveling as required.
  • Involves long periods of sitting and computer work.
