Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Experience in Family medicine or primary care practice preferred
  • Active Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in good standing
  • Minimum of two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Provide Primary and Family evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients
  • Provide holistic, evidenced-based care including education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and safer sex practices
  • Order and administer immunizations and injections (including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, TB, Depo) and provide evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education
  • Perform administrative duties including opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payment, and maintaining a clean environment
  • Handle patient appointments and perform routine examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes
  • Speak with patients about healthy lifestyle choices, complete diagnostic tests to diagnose and treat injuries or illnesses, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care
  • Encourage patients to become active participants in their own healthcare and well-being through services such as health screenings, behavioral health and wellness, and chronic condition management
