Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in operating within a 24x7 operational environment, including weekends and holidays. They should have experience with GCP in a Linux environment, along with familiarity with Windows, Linux, and network administration concepts. A level-headed approach to stressful situations, excellent English communication skills (verbal and written), and the ability to multitask and react quickly to multiple issues simultaneously are essential. SQL Server knowledge is considered a beneficial asset, and relevant courses and certifications such as MCSE or CCNA are valued.

Responsibilities

The NOC Support Administrator will provide 24x7 support for managed database and application infrastructure operations to Pythian’s customers, monitoring application performance and system alerts using various monitoring tools. They will respond to incidents, escalate issues according to protocols, trigger operational procedures, and actively participate in customer incidents, providing data, communication, and status updates. The role involves maintaining knowledge of ITSM tools, monitoring tools, and operational procedures, coordinating solutions, recommending best practices, configuring and maintaining servers, troubleshooting operational problems, administering proactive checks, and communicating status and planning activities to customers and team members. Participation in shift patterns and on-call coverage is required, alongside continuous learning of database technologies and providing support.
