An Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting is preferred, as is NY Workers Compensation experience. Operations experience with Peer Review, UR, and/or case management, along with experience working with technology-based processes within the business environment are also preferred. Exceptional communication skills with a clear understanding of company business lines, the ability to apply critical thinking, manage time efficiently, and meet specific deadlines are essential. Computer literacy and typing skills are necessary, as is the ability to handle high volume and meet deadlines. Remote employees must supply and support their own internet services and maintain an uninterrupted internet connection.
The Quality Analyst is responsible for managing the medical file review process, reviewing completed referrals for accuracy and ensuring client questions have been addressed. They will review completed reports for accuracy, ensuring client and department standards have been met. Responsibilities include reviewing reports accompanying medical records, following up with reviewers and clients for clarification, and updating clients on referral progress. The analyst must ensure reports are grammatically correct with no spelling errors, adhere to the QA checklist, and format reports for approval. They will communicate clearly and concisely between the customer, reviewer, and operations team, and confidently speak with physicians and clients regarding the content of peer reviews. Other duties and special projects may be assigned based on business needs.
