Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of 12–15 years' experience in New Product Introduction, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management or other related function, combined with leadership or management responsibilities
  • Proven track record of leading multiple, concurrent programs
  • Proficient in EACs/Risk/Opportunity Management/Gate Review processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management methods, tools, and processes
  • Ability to interface effectively with internal teams as well as government and commercial customers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and strategic thinking ability
  • Leadership skills
  • Strong work ethic, honesty, trustworthiness, and high integrity
  • Ability to use influence without authority in a matrix organizational structure
  • Understanding of partnering between Program Management and Operations/Manufacturing

  • Ability to travel within the Continental U.S. up to 25%

Responsibilities

  • Support or lead in the development of NPI program planning and estimating for complex programs
  • Manage all aspects of planning multiple NPI program plans
  • Ensure site factories/Functional Operations organizations are adequately executing efforts to meet program objectives
  • Develop successful operations strategy for larger scope programs, varying in complexity, planning, support, and execution of critical new products integrating into production environment
  • Oversee operational tasking, deliverables, budget, and schedule associated with manufacturing readiness and manufacturing maturation
  • Ensure a smooth transition from development into operations
  • Monitor data across multiple NPI programs, establishing correlation, and publish data to support improvements in product development and customer relations
  • Responsible for both internal and external NPI performance objectives, including cost, schedule, technical, and performance
  • Responsible for product operations strategies, business cases, and NPI execution related to product portfolio management
  • Support the rollout, standardizing, and continuous improvement of NPI processes, plans, metrics, built into the product development and launch framework
  • Lead program meetings and program reviews with the customer and executive staff
  • Lead and support complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinate activities of other personnel
  • Act as mentor to other NPI Managers
  • Other duties as assigned
