Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology and 6+ years of relevant industry experience or combination of education and/or experience
  • Proficient in English
  • CCNP certification
  • Juniper certified a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an efficient manner, as well as delegate responsibilities and tasks to direct reports and vendors
  • Availability to work outside prescribed business hours for large-scale or escalated network outages and incidents
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Responsibilities

  • Handle escalated incident Management in partnership with NOC team
  • Subject matter expert for wired/wireless issues for the department
  • Cross-Functional/Regional support to wider business
  • Focused on maintaining current standards and designing seeking automation solutions for labor intensive tasks
  • Troubleshoot, remedy and/or escalate network related issues within the defined networking SLA / OLA model and processes
  • Participate in regular resilience/failover testing
  • Plan preventive maintenance
  • Handle Day to Day network operations and effectively respond to escalations, incident tickets, and email requests handled by Network Team
  • Support large-scale IT service hardware deployments, building and maintenance
  • Supporting the member solutions team to identify the best deployment options for members with additional requirements
  • Ability to own the Requisition & PO process for vendors & equipment ordering for both Network related support requests and project (Capex) initiatives
  • Work in new building opening network configuration
  • Support Capital Improvements
  • Assist Member Solutions & Tech Leads to close opportunities by advising potential new members on best in class solutions/alternatives
  • Participate in a regular on-call rotation
  • Maximize the network standards for scalability and support
  • Coordinate/collaborate with vendors for maintenance services on Network and IT server rooms
  • Review technical documentation of supported environments to ensure that documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Mentor and provide guidance to other networking team members
  • Involve in planning, implementing, and supporting network related and non-related projects and collaborate with other departments as needed
  • Interact with members on calls whenever is needed
  • Escalation point for the other networking team members in the region
