Candidates should have strong experience with Cisco IOS, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, or similar enterprise network vendors. A solid understanding of routing and switching, including protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS, is essential. Proficiency in network monitoring tools and logging pipelines like SNMP, Syslog, Netflow, Elasticsearch (ELK Stack), and Grafana is required. A strong grasp of network security principles, including ACLs, Firewalls, VPN, 802.1x authentication, and RBAC, is necessary. Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in a modern programming language such as Python, Golang, or Ruby, alongside strong knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices and GitOps workflows is preferred, as is experience integrating corporate IT infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows. Excellent stakeholder management skills and clear communication abilities are also essential.
The Network Security Engineer will design, build, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing network infrastructure and automation workflows. They will drive network and IT automation through software development and tooling to optimize network operations and enhance IT service delivery. The role involves leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies and GitOps-driven automation for orchestrating network infrastructure and enforcing configuration consistency. The engineer will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for IT infrastructure, design scalable internal tools and dashboards, and collaborate with security teams to align IT automation with Zero Trust principles. Responsibilities also include implementing role-based access controls, identifying areas for IT service improvement, and managing multiple projects to ensure efficiency and alignment with business objectives.
