Candidates must have a strong understanding of network security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls, with experience in network segmentation, zero trust architecture, and secure VPN solutions. Proficiency in encryption protocols, PKI, TLS/SSL, IPsec, and certificate management is essential. Advanced firewall policy design, rule optimization, and traffic analysis skills are required, along with experience integrating threat intelligence into network defenses. Certifications like PCNSE, CCNP Security, and F5 CTS are highly preferred, and additional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty are a plus.

Responsibilities

The Network Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain network security architectures, policies, and procedures using Palo Alto firewalls and Azure networking technologies, including developing secure configurations and access controls. They will configure, monitor, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, troubleshoot issues, and perform audits, while also monitoring network traffic for threats and implementing IDS/IPS solutions. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining secure remote access, supporting various operating systems, configuring F5 load balancers for high availability and secure application delivery, and investigating/remediating security incidents. The role also involves applying security patches, participating in on-call rotations, collaborating with IT teams, and mentoring junior engineers.
