Requirements

  • University or bachelor’s degree (advanced degree implied as text cuts off)
  • Experience leading a large or broad function/department within a multifaceted organization
  • Strong business acumen with ability to influence strategy, set policy and direction
  • Expertise in competition product knowledge across all dimensions (product knowledge, pricing, marketing, customer requirements)
  • Experience in product lifecycle management, including defining product offering, positioning, and pricing
  • Sales experience, as it is a sales compensated role with quota overlay

Responsibilities

  • Lead/manage marketing, operational, and financial aspects of assigned product grouping/segment (e.g., US Commercial Notebooks)
  • Develop short and mid-term plans to achieve market growth, revenue, and operating profit goals
  • Develop and lead cross-functional go-to-market team to support daily execution of marketing, operational, and financial activities
  • Develop strategy with field sales teams, sales management, and other key category stakeholders on programs and product positioning to win business
  • Define and manage product offering, positioning, and pricing across the product lifecycle of a given portfolio
  • Guide direct/indirect sales teams on product-related dimensions and communicate/brief/support them on product strategies
  • Plan business objectives for a specific portfolio and achieve them through ongoing adjustments of product-related decisions
  • Define advertising and demand generation priorities at strategic and tactical levels in partnership with Marketing
  • Ensure operational success, strategic alignment, and integration of activities with other major organizational functions
  • Own significant measurable functional, operational, and strategic goals or priorities; assume responsibility for successful implementation of business plans
  • Act as key advisor to executive management (reports to VP) in influencing strategic direction of the business
