Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of secondary school graduation, and a desire to pursue training and certification as a glass installer apprentice is an asset. Possession of an ASP construction card and skills cards is also considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

The Montreur-Mécanicien(enne) Vitrier(ère) will be responsible for assembling and installing prefabricated glass elements, mirrors, and glass products on walls, ceilings, or facades of buildings, fabricating metal frames for window installation, preparing and installing skylights and bay windows on various building types, replacing damaged windows or sealing materials, reading and interpreting technical plans and specifications, and working as part of a team or independently to ensure the safe and efficient installation of glass products.
