Monetization Manager - Phone Business

Position Overview

Zoom is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Monetization Manager to join our pricing team. This high-impact role is responsible for creating and contributing to Zoom’s pricing and packaging initiatives for our Phone business. The ideal candidate possesses strong business acumen, excellent analytical abilities, solid communication skills, and the capacity to influence and build consensus across cross-functional teams. Experience in monetization strategy within the UCaaS and Voice Communications space is highly preferred.

About the Team

By partnering closely with Product, Sales, and Finance teams, you will identify opportunities for revenue growth, conduct market research, and define and execute global pricing models and frameworks. You will also develop strategies to meet specific regional and local market demands and collaborate with cross-functional teams for execution and market launch. Responsibilities

  • Define and develop global and regional monetization strategies based on product objectives and market trends to increase product penetration and simplify the sales motion.
  • Identify monetization models for evolving products and services by developing an empirically grounded view of our opportunity from a market and customer perspective.
  • Lead quantitative research initiatives including pricing analysis, customer value studies, conjoint analysis, and value perception interviews to develop evidence-based recommendations on pricing strategy, models, implementation, revenue optimization, and subscription and usage-based frameworks.
  • Manage the end-to-end monetization process, including data gathering, price modeling, profitability analysis, benchmarking, and the implementation process.
  • Define, track, and measure pricing KPIs, provide actionable insights on pricing performance, implement a continuous pricing optimization plan, and drive this process.
  • Analyze and recommend monetization approaches for strategic partnership deals to drive continued business growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in pricing and monetization strategies.
  • Experience in UCaaS or Voice communication businesses, or alternatively, in Management Consulting with a focus on UCaaS.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, market research, and the ability to effectively articulate insights and recommend actions.
  • Experience operating in ambiguous environments and driving adoption of new and emerging products.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams to deliver impact.
  • Demonstrated focus on driving results and a bias for action with strengths in problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills – written and verbal. Comfortable in business and technical discussions.
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Excel, and visualization tools such as PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, or Economics.

Salary and Compensation

  • Salary Range: $97,600.00 - $225,700.00
  • Zoom offers a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that includes base salary, bonus, and equity value.
  • Starting pay will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • A location-based compensation structure may apply, resulting in different ranges for candidates in various locations.
