Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a highly motivated MLOps Engineer, Manager – Analytics Operations to join their Global Product Development and Supply Business Insights and Technology (GPS BI&T Analytics Operations) team. This role focuses on building and managing the DevOps and MLOps infrastructure for deploying innovative AI and ML solutions that drive business value. The team is responsible for optimizing production environments for machine learning models, bridging the gap between development and operations, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful results.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for machine learning models.
  • Containerize ML models using Docker/Kubernetes and deploy them on cloud platforms (AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Set up and maintain monitoring systems to track model performance, response time, error rates, and resource utilization (CloudWatch, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Establish alerting and notification systems to quickly detect anomalies or deviations from expected behavior.
  • Partner with business-facing stakeholders to establish core team capabilities.
  • Drive business value by implementing high-impact use cases and adopting advanced analytics.
  • Establish the team as a source of innovative and reliable enterprise tools.

Requirements

  • Education: BA/BS in a scientific or quantitative major required; advanced degree (Master or PhD) preferred.
  • Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend development.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
      • Backend development with a focus on cloud or ML model deployment
      • Deep learning frameworks
      • Data science
      • Machine learning
      • Data engineering
  • Cloud Platform Experience: Experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, and ELK stack.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
