Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Qualified as Journeyman Millwright/Industrial Mechanic/Heavy Duty Mechanic/Hydraulic Mechanic - IP Red Seal preferred
  • Experience using all sizes of air impact and electric wrenches
  • Experience using all pipe fitting tools and equipment (e.g., sockets, ratchets, hoists, jackhammer, cutting torches, welding equipment)
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings
  • Aptitude for setting up, tearing down, and rebuilding machinery and equipment
  • Knowledge and ability to use computer programs
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Basic math skills, including exposure to geometry and trigonometry (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Repair, troubleshoot, and install machinery and equipment
  • Read and interpret repair documents, manuals, blueprints, and schematic drawings
  • Track work and backup roll bearing maintenance and repair using the maintenance management system
  • Utilize various tools and equipment, including air impact wrenches, electric wrenches, pipe fitting tools, hoists, jackhammers, cutting torches, and welding equipment
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
