Requirements

Minimum of 6 years of related experience, typically with a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent practical experience in an operational trade compliance and logistics role
Advanced computer skills, including expertise in Google Workspace or MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Access)
Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal stakeholders and external agencies

Responsibilities

Lead trade and logistics strategy by managing duty and freight expenses, coordinating with customs brokers and carriers, and ensuring seamless import/export operations
Stay ahead of regulatory changes and guide the team through them
Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of logistics and trade compliance processes, controls, and communication
Identify gaps, propose practical solutions, and partner with site leadership and the Corporate Trade Compliance team to implement enhancements
Champion process improvements, lead automation projects for trade and logistics, and identify opportunities to reduce freight rates and premium service costs
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, including evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and providing coaching and development
Oversee service providers and act as the primary liaison with government agencies to enhance Plexus's global trade program
