Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
  • Business Management or MBA is an advantage
  • Proven leadership experience in metrology, calibration, or quality management within a regulated industry (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or similar)
  • Strong communication skills in English and Polish (written and spoken); French language skills are a strong advantage
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA, MDR, and other relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, foster engagement, and build a culture of trust and accountability
  • Ability to implement organisation and functional strategy
  • Ability to initiate and implement change with a demonstrated track record (at individual level or team level)
  • Working knowledge of quality tools such as SPC / Process Control, FMEA, Problem Solving / Root Cause Analysis, Poka-Yoke, and other Six Sigma tools
  • Experience working in a multinational manufacturing environment preferred
  • Willingness to travel 20%

Responsibilities

  • Manage remote and local Calibration/Metrology teams to provide support and technical guidance and direction to the operational and functional areas on site
  • Drive local and regional collaboration and leverage expertise and resources to optimise service outcomes for internal customers
  • Partner with Global Sourcing to lead negotiation and monitoring of Calibration Service Contracts and performance to Service Level Agreements
  • Lead, develop, and mentor metrology and calibration teams across sites, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment
  • Collaborate with global and regional partners to align strategies, standardize processes, and leverage shared resources for cost efficiency
  • Ensure compliance of all measurement systems and test equipment with regulatory and internal requirements (e.g., ISO and ASTM)
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction
  • Support planning and execution of quality improvement initiatives, including product quality enhancement, NC/CAPA resolution, cost reduction, and risk management
  • Work closely with R&D, Advanced Operations, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on measurement practices
  • Provide technical expertise and support for new product development and process improvements
  • Oversight to ensure that auditing of Calibration/Metrology compliance across plants is carried out and all findings are closed out
