Requirements

  • Reading and interpreting customer blueprints, specifications, and CATIA models
  • Ability to effectively communicate requirements in a standard format to production and quality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, CATIA V5, SmarTeam, and Syteline
  • Strong working knowledge of SmarTeam/3DX PLM system workflows (New Product Introduction, ECR/s/Part Number Rolls, VAEP projects)
  • Analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate activities with technical team members

Responsibilities

  • Develops fabrication or assembly manufacturing plans using established manufacturing flow, including sequences of events, text and graphic work instructions, manufacturing datasets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of materials
  • Reads and interprets engineering drawings, 3D models (CATIA V5), specifications, and other customer-defining documentation
  • Reviews Customer Engineering to ensure dataset packages are complete
  • Reviews Customer Engineering revision levels to ensure proper part configuration is being produced
  • Works daily in the PLM system (SmarTeam/3DX) workflows to support product realization and amend/revise workflows
  • Supports internal groups, customers, and vendors on engineering/product definition needs
  • Coordinates activities with technical team members to make corrections or improvements to planning, tooling, or processes
  • Assumes leadership/supervisor role of Manufacturing Engineering team through project leadership and management of strategic engineering projects, including project planning, reporting, and clear communication to the engineering manager
  • Exercises independent judgement and decision making to produce high-quality, low-cost products, considering internal processes, part/customer/regulatory requirements
