Requirements

  • HS Diploma minimum required (higher degree preferred)
  • Intermediate troubleshooting abilities in electronics, mechanics, and electromechanical systems
  • Experience as a military technician, computer technician, or complex electronics technician preferred
  • Experience supporting automation equipment in a healthcare setting is a plus
  • Experience in healthcare, field service, engineering, biomedical, maintenance, customer service, pharmacy technician, electronics, electrical, technical work, or IT beneficial
  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer support
  • Physical ability for pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status
  • Travel local and national required; respond to and arrive at customer sites within service ticket’s Service Level Agreement
  • Active driver’s license and personal vehicle for job-related assignments
  • Preferred: Pharmacy Technician, Informaticist, or LPN; retail or hospital pharmacy experience; four or more years in healthcare with technical (systems) involvement; ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize assigned service orders for client remediation needs, including hardware, software, networking, customer service, and other computer-related technologies
  • Provide quality technical customer service in a professional, responsive, empathetic, reliable, patient, resourceful, and assured manner
  • Effectively document all steps taken to service the request in the appropriate tracking system
  • Handle problem recognition, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for routine customer problems; escalate and/or collaborate on more complex issues with advanced team members or management
  • Maintain personal parts inventory and actively resource needed parts from approved sources
  • Obtain and maintain proper vendor credentialing to service all customers in respective coverage area (including efforts for areas outside normal region)
  • Set scheduled availability within BD systems for notifications of new work; work with Novasyte on time off requests for gap coverage and planning
  • Follow calibration protocol for all tools used to service BD equipment in a timely manner to maintain compliance
