Candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from a U.S. medical school and have successfully completed residency at an accredited healthcare institution. A current active California medical license, current active DEA license, malpractice coverage, and Board Certification from California are mandatory. Experience in management, leading teams, and a working knowledge of community clinic/health center operations are also required.
The Medical Director will oversee clinic operations, manage staff, and lead improvement projects focusing on operational, financial, and business development aspects. Responsibilities include enhancing customer service through process development, conducting chart and utilization reviews, providing comprehensive medical care to participants, and coordinating after-hours telephonic coverage. The role also involves contributing to new medical programs, strategic goals, and participating in recruitment, training, and performance management activities.
