A Bachelor's degree in a computing-related discipline or equivalent experience is necessary, along with 2+ years of project leadership experience with large-scale teams. The Medicaid Quality Testing Engineer will develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for state-level technology implementations, and lead the setup and validation of connectivity between state systems and vendor platforms. This role involves collaborating with infrastructure and network teams to configure and troubleshoot connectivity issues, ensuring the availability and stability of test environments, and promoting high-quality testing practices with implementation teams. Responsibilities include monitoring and improving technology product quality, providing hands-on leadership in automation, tools, and frameworks, and mentoring project teams. The engineer will set strategy, priorities, and direction for testing activities, coordinate application performance issues, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies. Key duties also involve ensuring comprehensive test coverage, defining and maintaining test matrices, participating in test case reviews, and aligning testing activities with development teams. The role requires building cross-functional relationships, communicating effectively with stakeholders, developing a 3-5 year roadmap for test strategy, automation, and connectivity improvements, and providing oversight to test leads. Additionally, the engineer will work with ETL developers and other stakeholders to obtain programming specifications, ensure proper documentation for ETL work, communicate updates between IT and non-IT departments, and provide support to data tool users.
