Responsibilities

Join Mechanical Engineering or Customer Support and Services functions
Work on mechanical design from concept development through to manufacture, using CAD tools and laboratory test programs (Mechanical Design)
Gain experience in early stages of missile technology product lifecycle, from concept generation to R&D studies (Mechanical Future Concepts)
Develop specialist technical solutions using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and laboratory testing for stress and thermal analysis (Mechanical Analysis)
Contribute to electro-mechanical design of fin, wing, and seeker actuation systems in a multidisciplinary, potentially international team (Actuation Systems)
Advise design teams on materials science principles, evaluate material compatibility, and conduct research on novel materials with lab assessments (Materials and Processes Group)
Contribute to definition, development, and delivery of support and service packages for MBDA products across the Product Life Cycle (CADMID) (Customer Support and Services)
Influence product designs to ensure supportability and maintainability throughout 20+ year service life (Customer Support and Services)
Ensure customer requirements (Royal Navy, Army, RAF) are met and maintain MBDA's reputation (Customer Support and Services)
Work across a wide range of roles in Customer Support and Services during the placement
