Requirements

Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline (including General, Mechanical, Production/Manufacturing, Aeronautical/Aerospace, and Electrical/Electronics), or Physics, Astronomy, Materials Science, or Technology

Responsibilities

Work in Mechanical Design, involving all stages from concept development through to manufacture, using CAD tools, and participating in laboratory test programs
Work in Mechanical Future Concepts, involved in early stages of missile technology lifecycle including concept development and R&D studies
Work in Mechanical Analysis, supporting the design process using FEA tools and laboratory testing for stress and thermal analysis
Work in Actuation Systems, contributing to electro-mechanical design of fin, wing, and seeker actuation systems in a multidisciplinary and potentially international team
Work in Materials and Processes Group, informing design teams on choice of materials and processes, including research on novel materials and practical lab-based assessments
Contribute to development of physical solutions from concept through development, certification, to production on missiles and weapon systems
Collaborate with highly qualified engineers and technical specialists on multinational defence projects
Engage in hands-on work experience with hardware across placements to understand products
Participate in internal research, design and analysis, integration, tooling, and testing
