Requirements

Ability to operate as the primary engineer at customer sites (e.g., Tracy, CA, Seattle)
Hands-on experience with hardware, systems integration, and field operations
Deep understanding of Physical AI systems
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, retrofits, and lifecycle service skills
Clear communication with technical teams (e.g., Development) and operations leaders
Willingness for extended on-site deployment (up to 80% time), including warehouse conditions (temperature variations, industrial noise, prolonged standing/walking)
Availability for assignments spanning weeks or months at customer sites
Capacity for weekly travel if located in Redwood City, CA
Ability to undergo expense-paid onsite training in Redwood City, CA prior to client site work

Responsibilities

Run day-to-day operations of the Mech system at customer sites during pilots
Act as super-user, first line of support, and liaison between customer operations and Dexterity teams
Safely operate Mech and materials handling systems
Manage daily workflow, including package exception handling
Identify and report issues; perform initial T0 troubleshooting
Validate fixes in the field and close out issues with Development teams (Echo/Delta)
Track issue lifecycle on site until closure
Provide daily internal updates and KPI reports
Deliver daily customer-facing reports on operations status
Align pilot schedules with local operations team and support custom needs
Ensure successful field deployment of new products by driving pilot execution and resolving early issues to meet customer KPIs
Maintain high Mech system uptime by diagnosing root causes and executing rapid, durable fixes
Own warranty actions, spare part tracking, retrofit execution, and RMA processing for assigned sites
Act as the face of Dexterity Engineering in the field to resolve chronic issues and maintain long-term system health
Reduce repeat incidents by authoring runbooks, knowledge base articles, and automated diagnostics
