Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with proven sales ability and excellent customer relationship skills. They should also have knowledge of industrial equipment and a mechanically inclined aptitude, as well as strong planning, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Furthermore, candidates must have solid computer skills, including knowledge of general business software and the G-suite platform, and a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
The Material Handling Sales Representative will be responsible for establishing new business opportunities through sales calls within their territory, managing pre-planning and follow-up actions using a CRM tool, educating customers on material handling equipment through product presentations and demos, providing problem resolution and follow-through to address customer needs, generating objective-based proposals for material handling solutions, adhering to all safety rules and completing safety training, and representing ASCO in a positive and professional manner. They will also seek out new markets, optimize opportunities to increase profitability, and occasionally move about in an office or warehouse setting and traverse stairs, and occasionally move or transport industrial equipment.
