Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shop or field heavy equipment troubleshooting and repair, along with technical certifications or an Associate’s Degree. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical theories and principles is required, as well as good written and verbal communication skills for daily reporting and computer literacy skills for email, work orders, and beyond. Applicants must be able to obtain a forklift license, have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and be able to furnish tools suitable for heavy equipment repair.

Responsibilities

The Material Handling/Lift Truck Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing complex repairs on material handling equipment in both the shop and field, adhering to preventative maintenance schedules, completing work orders in a timely manner, maintaining open communication with the service manager, and demonstrating the ability to work within set time parameters, multi-task, and follow procedures. Additionally, the technician will need to possess experience with Curtis Controllers, narrow aisle equipment, various forklift brands, warehouse products, cold storage systems, and pneumatic/cushion tired trucks, as well as order pickers, reach trucks, stackers, and pallet trucks.
