Responsibilities

  • Develop deep understanding of Scout’s addressable market; advance definition of target customers and vehicle segmentation using quantitative and qualitative analysis; translate into personas and strategic recommendations for product, brand, and commercial decisions
  • Lead research initiatives on key questions (product features, pricing sensitivity, brand acceptance, sales/service preferences, vehicle nomenclature); summarize with actionable recommendations to improve customer focus, product/service quality, and market share
  • Build relationships and collaborate with Engineering, Product Planning, Design, Brand Marketing, Communications, Commercial Operations, and Legal teams; integrate market research into decision-making and share knowledge organization-wide
  • Manage external research partners: identify/source vendors, onboard, execute full lifecycle of engagements, coordinate with internal stakeholders for high-quality, timely results
  • Oversee market research budget: ensure efficient allocation, alignment with priorities, monitor expenditures, optimize investments for maximum impact
