Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Work within Manufacturing Test Engineering through placements across different stages of the manufacturing process
  • Rotate through teams in areas such as Circuit Card Assembly, Actuators and Control Equipment, Seekers and Datalinks, Inert Missile, Platform Equipment and Cables, and Manufacturing Test Development
  • Diagnose and fault find on non-conforming products or equipment
  • Author instructions and/or specifications
  • Draft and publish drawing packs
  • Analyse test and production related data
  • Introduce new innovative products and equipment into Manufacturing
  • Support process improvements
  • Collaborate with other areas of the business, including Product Design, Test Equipment Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Assurance
  • Spend time in external placements (three months per year for first three years) and a single extended placement in the fourth year
  • Study towards a fully funded BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Bolton University over four years
