Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
  • Graduating in Dec 2025 or Spring 2026 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD)
  • Exposure to common manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, 3D printing, etc. through coursework, internships, or projects
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering problems that require planning, collaboration, and application of engineering fundamentals
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end manufacturing efforts across multiple development and production products
  • Assist as a technical resource for manufacturing processes, collaborating closely with design, quality, and production teams
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of scalable manufacturing processes aligned with Divergent's technology roadmap
  • Participate in data-driven initiatives to improve yield, cycle times, and first-pass quality
  • Support the implementation of automation and digital manufacturing workflows to increase efficiency and repeatability
  • Learn and apply emerging manufacturing technologies to advance Divergent’s competitive capabilities
  • Work with senior engineers to bring new concepts and product designs through the factory, enabling rapid prototyping and iteration
  • Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Assist with the introduction and validation of new equipment, tooling, and processes to support high-reliability manufacturing
  • Support the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process plans
  • Learn quality and regulatory standards (e.g., AS9100), supporting compliance efforts
  • Participate in resolving hardware nonconformance issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Work in a cross-functional environment with design, quality, and production teams to solve complex manufacturing problems
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
  • Receive mentorship and training from experienced manufacturing engineers to build long-term technical expertise
