Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Physics, Mathematics or Engineering (including Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical, Manufacturing/Production, Systems, Electrical/Electronic and General) discipline (minimum 2.2)
  • Previous use of tools such as Simul8, MRP tools (SAP), Engineering Drawing tools (Creo), Configuration Control would be an advantage (training provided as necessary)
  • Right to work in the UK (unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visa)
  • Ability to achieve required medical and national security clearance
  • Further restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with design to influence the producibility of designs
  • Define the ‘how’ to build products, including tooling required
  • Create instructions on how to build products
  • Manage the cost of manufacture of products
  • Perform industrial validations of production lines and suppliers
  • Provide day-to-day support to operators building products
  • Develop the architecture of production lines
  • Develop new manufacturing processes
  • Spend time on the shop floor and office-based working, with some travel to other sites, countries, and suppliers
